The Lie Feed Film Festival 2025
A Vision by Humanity Media CIC - Born from the Myth Busters Project
Funded by Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant
The Lie Feed Film Festival celebrates truth, illusion, and the human stories hidden beneath modern digital culture.
The Lie Feed Film Festival, powered by Humanity Media CIC, is an annual event dedicated to cinematic storytelling that confronts the myths, illusions, and emotional realities of life online.
The festival originated from Myth Busters, a creative digital activism project funded by the Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant, designed to challenge harmful narratives and empower young voices through media and art.
Our mission is to amplify stories that reveal what lies beneath the surface, stories that address identity, mental health, digital pressure, masculinity, gender, self-worth, and the emotional impact of social media.
Lie Feed invites filmmakers, creatives, and storytellers to break silence, expose truth, and reclaim power through film.

Training the Next Generation of Artists and Filmmakers
The Lie Feed Film Festival is building the foundation for a future academy where emerging artists and filmmakers can learn, grow and protect their creative voices.
Through workshops, short courses and hands on programmes, we teach participants how to
• develop their ideas
• shape their message
• address social issues through film
• turn personal experiences into meaningful narratives
• create work with emotional and cultural impactWe guide young people to understand not only how to make films, but why their stories matter.
A Proven Approach
Recently, we collaborated with a local grammar school to explore mental health and the emotional pressure created by social media. Regardless of gender or background, these issues affect young people in powerful ways.
Students worked with us to
• explore their own experiences
• shape ideas into scripts
• learn the filmmaking process
• produce three meaningful short filmsThis is the model we are committed to continuing.
Empowering participants to turn their lived realities into art that speaks. -
Purpose Driven Work
Every selected film or artwork must have depth, honesty and a meaningful message.
